Happy birthday, Rocky Mountain National Park! That’s right, today – January 26th, 2015 – is the park’s 100th birthday. On this day in 1915, President Woodrow Wilson signed the bill to designate what some call the Switzerland of the U.S. as a national park. In honor of one of my favorite places in Colorado, particularly to go hiking, I dug through some of my old photos. Here they are, my favorites from my trips to one of the most beautiful places in the world…
If you’re interested in visiting Rocky Mountain National Park to celebrate its 100th birthday, events are being held all year. The listings are on the official NPS site.

Just the perfect mountain peak residence!
I would like to use you photo of the creek-side trail leading to Ouzel Lake to make a quilt. Please email me if that is ok.
Please contact me through the form on the “About” page, Lucy, and let me know more about your project. Thanks!
I did. Did you receive it?
