Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Brandywine Falls is a great stretch-your-legs stop off Interstate 271 while driving outside of Cleveland.
Off to check out some national parks in the southern part of the United States, my wife and I pulled off the freeway to get out of the car for a few minutes. It’s too bad we didn’t have longer, really, as there’s so more in the park to explore. Seeing as we only live a couple of hours away, though, we figured we’d save that for another visit.
For now, a great walk to the deceptively-high Brandywine Falls. Layers of the earth – like pages in a history book – can be seen through and around the falls at the end of a short boardwalk hike. There are three, actually; we skipped the two overlooks in favor of the closeup stop.
