The graves of Jackie and John F. Kennedy

Today, the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas, I’m reminded of my trip to his grave site this year in Arlington National Cemetery. It was a return visit of one I did a great many years ago as a child, while on our family road trip along the eastern seaboard.

RIP JFK. An eternal flame is such a beautiful, fitting tribute

It’s really quite an amazing place to be, as is the whole cemetery. The history and people who are there is something else to comprehend.

Although before my time, it was and remains a sad day for America and the world.
